The d-VID is a handheld digital microscope with USB output and built-in illumination for instant high magnification images at your fingertips!

This camera belongs in every science classroom, and has hundreds of uses in nearly any aspect of industry. Its ability to reveal and document details is unprecidented at this price.

With the d-Vid inspection camera, no additional microscope is required.  The included software allows you to capture high resolution digital images, digital video clips, and even has measuring capability. Eight variable-intensity LED bulbs perfectly illuminate the subject.  The d-VID is an affordable tool for documenting details in the dental, dermatological, and electronics markets. Additionally, it is great for home and school use, and has found its place in industry as well.

The d-Vid is standalone except for the need for a PC. There is a single cord which plugs into your PC, and once the drivers are loaded, it is ready to go!

Some usage notes:

• The d-Vid has a focus range of about 3/4 of an inch to about 6 inches.
• The closer the object is to the camera, the greater the magnification. If you look at the image of salt and pepper below, you'll get an idea of the incredible amount of magnification available.
• Pointed straight down, the included tripod will support the camera as close as 1 inch from the table surface (field of view of about 5/8" x 1/2") and as far away as 5.75", giving a field of view of about 1.25" x 1.0".
• The camera can focus on an object as far as a foot away, enlarging a field of about 3" x 2.25". You may need to provide some supplemntal lighting at this distance.
