	The World of the Microscope  Our #1 choice for the family or homeschool just getting into learning about Microscopy.  It has page after page of color illustrations and simple experiments that can be done with things from around the house.
	Guide to Microlife A customer of wrote: "It is well laid out and is a good balance between an introductory text and useful information. The paperback is broken down into five sections; monerans, microfungi, protists, microanimals and various projects. Each entry has a color photo, and numerous illustrations accompany each chapter's introduction. At the end, a list of basic microscopy techniques and projects are discussed. It's really a nice and colorful introduction to the subject of viewing life under a microscope. The book is approximately 5 x 8", printed on slick  paper, 288 pages."
	The Microscope Book  This nice book from Sterling Publishers is filled with experiments that will provide a great start for the young scientist.  Thought provoking labs with thorough explanations provide a good learning tool.  Paperback, full color drawings.
	Adventures With a Microscope  Nearly 60 experiments fill the pages of this paperback book.  They are more detailed and in depth than the books listed above.  Perhaps should be reserved for the more serious student.  Black and white diagrams, a lot of book for the money.
	How to Know the Protozoa Click and read the five star review given this fine book.  If your quest is protozoa, this could be an excellent investment for you.
	Exploring with the Microscope (Unfortunately, this book has been out of print, but if you click, Amazon might have a copy available.) This excellent book by Werner Nachtigall is an tremendous textbook of microscopy for the older student or adult.  It contains thorough coverage of the microscope and its use, as well as step by step instructions on the preparation of specimens.  It has a great treatment of the technical aspects of the microscope, mixed with plenty of practical applications with materials that cost nothing or next to nothing.  A wonderful book, an excellent investment, and our top pick for the adult.
	Complete Book of the Microscope  Another colorful book from Usborne, this one gives us full color photos taken through the lens.   Included are some experiments, but not as many as other books we have here.
